How to Keep your Child's Hair Hydrated This Summer

How to Keep your Child's Hair Hydrated This Summer

I hope you are having a blessed Saturday! I am back with some more tips, but this time tailored towards your kid's hair. I want to help you keep their hair fresh and fun, just like them, this season!

Summer Sun means Some-more protection! How to keep your child's hair protected this summer:

Girl on beach with afro

  1. Swim Safe- Afro hair and chlorine typically do not mix well. If you and the kids want to take a dunk in the sea, ensure that you soak both of your hair in olive oil. Extra virgin is best! This should be done for at least 2 hours before you go swimming. In addition to this, you should also co-wash with a soothing conditioner like ours, before putting on a swim cap and diving in.

Sunlight Curl Creme

2. Moisturise - After the kids have had their fun in the sun, immerse their tresses with a creamy moisturiser, like our Sunlight Curl Creme for their kinky, coily or curly hair! This product is mixed with a range of natural ingredients including coconut milk and shea. The concoction of smells brings an Island vibe- just the atmosphere you long for, and perhaps will be in, this summer season.

Knowing your hair is protected by barriers of anti-chlorine products, can make you enjoy your swimming experience more. You won’t have to worry as much about the after-effects of dealing with chlorine-soaked hair with these precautious tips.

I hope that this helps you manage your child's hair during the summer season! I will be back next week with some more hairducation!
