I have been doing the Curly Girl Method for over a year now. I don't follow it religiously because my hair doesn't seem to respond well to just co-washing with conditioner. It likes a good shampoo, a very large amount of protein and lots and lots of oil. I have really struggled to find products that make my hair feel really soft, and I struggle even more getting it to be shiny. It's really thick, dense, coarse, quite stiff blonde/grey hair that's very prone to being dry especially on the ends.
It was wash day today, and I hate wash day! I end up with untidy puffy hair that makes me look just a bit wild, but I'm at home so I've resigned myself to staying in. My Root2Tip parcel arrived just after my hair was almost dry, so I thought I'd give the Nourish, Hydrate and Shine Me Hair Butter a try, applied to damp hair. OH MY WORD!!! it's fabulous! I only used two tiny small pea sized amounts, rubbed my hands together and ran it over the mid lengths to the ends of my hair. It's light enough to not weigh my hair down too much so my curls are still bouncy, but it's made it feel really soft and shiny - yes shiny, without being greasy. This tub will probably last me four or five months. (I tried it on my face too, I had a little bit too much still on my hands when I'd finished my hair, so I figured I'd use it up on my face - it would seem I've also found myself a new face cream!!)
I literally can not live with out this stuff. I have tried other products but they just dont cut it. Love this company. Have tried almost all the products since meeting Sal at the hair show in 2014 or 2013. I can literally feel the difference in my hair. I went travelling in 2015 for 6 months to the Philippines and Australia. I had to get my friend to bring me a stash when she met me in Australia.
This is literally my staple product for my daughters hair! It holds her twists in, protects her hair, keeps it soft and smells great! Unlike the Quench this is a much thicker butter - A little goes a long way! I also use it with a little water to smooth down her edges instead of using a gel.
